'I'm still a Yorkshire girl', says Diana Rigg in 1972 interview

In a BBC interview from 1972 with Michael Parkinson, Avengers actor Diana Rigg talks about staying grounded despite her success.
Dame Diana Rigg, who has died at the age of 82 after a long successful career on stage and in film, rose to fame in the 1960s as Emma Peel in The Avengers alongside Patrick Macnee.
She told Parkinson how she was a 'local girl made good' and how people in Yorkshire helped her keep a 'sense of reality'
