CA, 03 Oct 2022
Soccer fans in Jakarta, Indonesia held a vigil on Monday for the over 125 people who died in Malang city on Oct. 1 at a stadium during a game. Panic during the soccer match caused a stampede after police fired tear gas to dispel riots.

Hundreds were also injured during the chaotic scenes, after a game between Arema FC and Persebaya Surabaya.

During the vigil, soccer fans remembered the victims, lighting candles, and chanting.

In Malang, Indonesia, flowers and tributes were also placed outside the Kanjuruhan Stadium in Malang, on Oct. 3, days after the tragic stampede and crush.
