The 6th Nishan Forum on World Civilizations has opened in east China's Shandong Province. The 36th International Confucius Cultural Festival has also begun in the same city, Qufu. Starting this year, the two events will combine to promote traditional Chinese culture. The forum is looking at how ancient civilizations can help build upon China's vision of a global community with a shared future.
