Italy wildfires: Farmer arrested after hidden camera catches him starting blaze
Telegraph, 09 Aug 2021
This 50-year-old Italian farmer has been arrested after cameras filmed him starting a fire in the countryside near Montesarchio, 50km from Naples.
The cameras were placed near triggering points of recent fires after Italian police reported a 70 per cent increase in call outs.
With temperatures approaching 40C (104F) across southern Italy, hot winds have stoked flames of wildfires, which are common during the country's dry and hot summers.
