Telegraph, 31 Jul 2021
On Saturday, Team Jamaica's Elaine Thompson-Herah became the second-fastest woman in history after beating fellow Jamaican Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce to defend her Olympic 100m title.
Thompson-Herah ran 10.61 seconds, a new Olympic record and just 0.12 seconds short of the world record set by the US' Florence Griffith-Joyner in 1988.
Great Britain's Daryll Neita, who made a surprise entry into the final after Dina Asher-Smith failed in her bid, finished eighth at 11.12 seconds.
