Japan's Hokuriku region blanketed by record snowfall

Heavy snow has swept across the Hokuriku region of Japan, bringing traffic to a standstill, damaging electricity cables and stranding more than 100 vehicles. Weather officials warned that some parts of Hokuriku could experience three times more snow than usual in the coming days
