Jeffrey Epstein case: Gloria Allred criticizes police over ‘failure’ to probe client’s allegation

CA, 07 Jul 2020
Attorney Gloria Allred lashed out at the Santa Monica Police Department on Monday for what she described as a “failure to do their job,” during a media availability in which she demanded to know why a police report filed by her client Alicia Arden against convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein was not investigated.

Arden alleges Epstein sexually assaulted her client during a meeting in 1997. Arden became emotional as she described her experience filing a police report about the alleged assault, and said officers told her at the time that “she was very pretty” and that she intimidates men “because of her appearance.”

Allred also urged Prince Andrew to come forward about his association with Jeffrey Epstein during the press conference, stating that he should do so “before” Ghislaine Maxwell speaks to U.S. prosecutors.
