Jet-pack medics: A new way to rescue people trapped in storms or for a mountain rescue

A jet suit for paramedics which would see patients reached in minutes by a "flying" medic has been tested by the Great North Air Ambulance Service.

The partnership between the service and Gravity Industries could allow a paramedic travelling to an emergency location in 90 seconds rather than conventional transport methods which may take up to 25 minutes.
