Rivers of lava flowed down Guatemala's Pacaya volcano on Thursday, following a brief pause after one of the most extensive volcanic episodes in recent years.

Drone video showed the lava coming down from a new fissure that opened on its northwest flank on April 29, and descending towards the foothills.

Disaster relief authorities say no communities are currently at risk, but authorities remain on alert, as the direction of the flow is uncertain.
