Leshan Giant Buddha flooded up to toes due to incessant rain

The worst flooding in 70 years hit Leshan Giant Buddha in southwest China's Leshan City on August 18, 2020.
For the first time since 1949, the Leshan Giant Buddha was submerged in water up to the toes.
Rescue workers evacuated 180 tourists from the rain-battered scenic spot.
