Live: Tokyo and three surrounding prefectures on first day of the state of emergency

As the rapid spread of a new round #coronavirus outbreak is feared to have a great impact on people's lives and the economy in Japan. Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga on Thursday declared a state of emergency for the capital #Tokyo and three surrounding prefectures. Our reporter is there and brings you the latest. The emergency state would take effect this Friday and run through February 7. #COVID19
