CA, 02 Jul 2021
A fast-moving wildfire has killed two people and destroyed roughly 90 per cent of Lytton, B.C., days after the village recorded Canada's highest temperature in history.
It forced residents to flee their homes, but it's unclear if everyone has made it to safety and residents are dealing with power outages and poor cell service as they try to find out if their loved ones are safe.
Evacuation centres have been set up in cities nearby. Robin Gill reports from one in Merritt, B.C., and spoke with some survivors about their heartbreaking losses.
