A man was found clinging to this ocean beacon after his boat ran aground off Queensland's Sunshine Coast. Lifeguards had earlier found the man’s yacht washed up in shallow waters near Caloundra and Bribie Island. The boat's motor was still running and a dog was found onboard, sparking an air and sea search for the owner of the boat. After several hours, rescue teams found the man clinging to the ocean beacon. The man had fallen from the yacht while trying to secure the dinghy and had to swim almost 2km to get to the beacon
