Massive wildfire in southern Turkey spreads, prompting evacuations

A massive wildfire continued spreading in the Antalya province of southern Turkey, moving into residential areas like the town centre of Manavgat, prompting evacuations of families as emergency responders continued battling the flames.
Turkey's disaster agency said emergency crews were using multiple resources, including planes and other vehicles to douse the fires, with teams from nearby provinces also brought in to help.
Authorities could not immediately say what has caused the fire, though the region has been dealing with scorching summer heat and strong winds that have helped to fan the flames. There have been no deaths reported from the fire as of Wednesday.
