Matt Hancock gets his first Covid vaccine from Jonathan Van-Tam

Telegraph, 29 Apr 2021
The Health Secretary Matt Hancock has received his Covid-19 vaccine from England's deputy chief medical officer Jonathan Van-Tam at the Science Museum in central London.

He said it is a "privilege" to have received his first dose of the Covid vaccine at the Science Museum.

He paid tribute to learning from science, saying it had been "central this last year more than ever" and that it therefore "felt fitting to be at the museum".

The 42-year old added: "I was very excited when my call came, and I'd urge everyone to take up the offer when it comes, and become part of history in the UK’s biggest ever vaccination programme."
