People around the world reacted on Monday to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's interview with Oprah Winfrey, some empathizing with the Duchess of Sussex while others were critical of what was revealed.

Binta Barr, an 18-year-old student, said Meghan's comments that Archie's skin colour had been a topic of conversation within the royal family, upset her and she felt it was hurtful.

"I'm Black as well, but if I was born mixed and I hear that like in about 10 years' time, watching an interview, I would feel upset," she said.

For royal biographer Anna Pasternak, the interview was "an exercise in disrespect."

"This is a woman who has dedicated seven generations of her life to our country, to duty. Does she honestly need this whining and bleating of this spoiled pair at this stage in her life," she said.

During the explosive interview, the first since officially severing ties with the Royal Family, the couple discussed feeling "trapped" by the Royal institution and saw "no other choice" but to leave.
