Moscow snowstorm continues for 3rd day

CA, 17 Jan 2021
Heavy snow continued to fall in Moscow, Russia on Saturday, two days after the city was hit with its first snowstorm of 2021.

Early Jan. 14, a storm system arrived blanketing the city with snow, causing traffic jams and nearly paralyzing traffic.

Thousands of workers made an effort to clear streets and roofs, with trucks driving away tonnes of snow, but people still had some difficulty getting around, trouble that continued even on Saturday.

The Ministry of Emergencies warned people to stay away from trees and unsteady construction areas if possible. Weather forecasts said the city would see more snow in the coming days, with air temperatures expected to plunge to -25C on Sunday night.
