New Brunswick election 2020: Liberal Leader Vickers resigns as leaders deliver concession speeches

CA, 15 Sep 2020
New Brunswick's Liberal leader Kevin Vickers resigned from his position in the party after losing his seat in Miramichi, N.B. in Monday's provincial snap election that saw the PC's Blaine Higgs win a majority government.

Plus, People's Alliance of New Brunswick leader Kris Austin, after Monday's provincial snap election, spoke on how "proud" he is of his team's work on his campaign, and what losing a seat in the election means for the party. "We're going to continue to push for the ideas that we pushed for from day one," he said, adding that the loss of Rick DeSaulniers's seat is "very disappointing."

And the province's Green Party leader David Coon has been re-elected in Fredericton South. During his concession speech, he called for unity across the province.
