New Jersey Transit Police have released dramatic body camera footage of an officer performing CPR and saving the life of a newborn baby. Officers responded to Newark Penn Station on July 14 following a report of a medical event in the woman's restroom. There they found a mother cradling a newborn baby in her arms. Officer Bryan Richards jumped into action and started performing CPR on the newborn. Officer Richards along with Officer Alberto Nunes then rushed to the hospital. While driving to the hospital, Richards continued chest compressions and the baby eventually began to respond. Police say the baby is “currently doing well.”
