Nicola Sturgeon announces Boxing Day lockdown for Scotland and festive travel ban

Nicola Sturgeon has announced renewed restrictions across Scotland and the cancellation of a five day relaxation over Christmas.
Mainland Scotland is now facing an immediate travel ban, with an exception on Christmas Day, and a Tier 4 lockdown effective for three weeks from Boxing Day. She warned that Police Scotland would "strengthen" enforcement of the travel ban at the English border, with the force deciding the operational details of how this is achieved.
