The public inquiry into the Nova Scotia mass shooting says the federal government left out critical pages of a senior RCMP’s notes while they were given the file.

The Mass Casualty Commission says it wasn’t until it received a second package weeks ago that four crucial pages were included.

“The commission sought an explanation … about why four pages were missing from the original disclosure,” Barbara McLean, the inquiry’s director of investigations, said in an email Friday.

“The commission is also demanding an explanation for any further material
that has been held back.
