Ontario's Deputy Premier and Health Minister Christine Elliott alongside Solicitor General Sylvia Jones provided an update on the province's COVID-19 vaccination plan on Thursday.

The City of Toronto will be opening up its mass vaccination site to walk-in clients to get a COVID-19 vaccine without an appointment, while details of further easing of restrictions are still being worked out.

Restrictions on businesses and gatherings are due to roll back further in two weeks, but the fine print on capacity limits, masking rules and other pending measures have yet to be spelled out.

The province has passed its COVID-19 vaccination target for entering Step 3, with 78 per cent of adults vaccinated with one dose and 49 per cent fully vaccinated as of Wednesday.
