Ontario Premier Doug Ford, alongside other officials, will deliver an update on COVID-19 cases and vaccine rollout across the province on Monday.

Ontario’s hotly-anticipated COVID-19 vaccine booking system launched at 8 a.m. today for those aged 80 and up.

Ford said on Sunday that the system will allow people to book their vaccine appointments, starting with people 80 years or older, and expanding gradually to younger age groups.

He urged those who don’t yet qualify for a shot to keep off the website so that it doesn’t crash.

Ontario reported 1,747 cases of the novel coronavirus Sunday, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 318,106.
