Demonstrators in Portland took to the streets for the 99th day in a row on Friday, protesting against police brutality and anti-Black racism. Police declared the assembly unlawful, deployed tear gas and other nonlethal munitions and detained multiple protesters during the course of the night.

The protests began as a response to the deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and other members of the Black community, though the role of federal agents in the city of Portland has also been a point of contention for demonstrators.
