Privacy watchdog investigates PHAC's use of Canadians' cellphone location data
CA, 14 Jan 2022

The information gathered was "de-identified," meaning no data could be linked to individual Canadians' movements. Although privacy experts say the method is not bulletproof.
As Mike Le Couteur reports, there are questions about how that data is collected and whether Canadians even knew about it.
