Protesta en la capital de Perú contra el presidente Castillo

Cientos de personas salieron el domingo a las calles de la capital peruana para protestar contra el gobierno del presidente Pedro Castillo.
La policía con equipo antidisturbios colocó barricadas para bloquear las calles que rodean el Palacio de Gobierno e impedir el avance de los manifestantes
Los manifestantes fueron recibidos con gases lacrimógenos cuando intentaron retirar las barreras,.
Este lunes la Organización de Estados Americanos (OEA) se reunira con el Congreso y otros organismos, a petición del presidente Castillo.
Castillo, un maestro rural, sorprendió a la élite política de Perú al ganar la elección como presidente en 20221, haciendo campaña con la promesa de mejorar la educación, la sanidad y otros servicios.
Sin embargo, el primer año de Castillo ha sido de constante agitación, con múltiples cambios en el gabinete y con dos intentos de destitución.
El mandato como presidente termina el 28 de julio de 2026.
