Pubs closing at 10pm is 'counter-productive' says Mayor of Manchester

The Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham has said the rule that forces pubs and restaurants to close at 10pm is 'counter-productive'.

Mr Burnham said it encourages people to gather out on the street or even in each other's houses, thus increasing the risk of transmission.
