Putin launches missile strikes in Zaporizhzhia overnight as schools and homes are targeted
Telegraph, 11 Oct 2022
Breaking news - Russia has launched fresh missile strikes overnight in Zaporizhzhia that targeted schools, medical facilities and homes as Vladimir Putin continues his campaign of retaliation for the Crimea bridge attack.
At least 15 explosions have rocked the city, according to a Ukrainian government official.
This morning, air raid sirens are sounding again in Kyiv and the Ukrainian emergency services have put the country on alert for more strikes.
"Warning. During the day there's a high probability of missile strikes on the territory of Ukraine. Please remain in shelters for your own safety, do not ignore air raid signals," it said on the Telegram messaging app.
The emergency services said 19 people had been killed and 105 wounded on Monday after Russia fired 84 missiles across Ukraine.
