Raccoon goes for 'leisurely' swim in Toronto pool
CA, 28 Jul 2020
Toronto couple Catherine Creager and James Novak had spotted a water-loving raccoon in their backyard pool on July 23.
The raccoon tiptoed around the perimeter of the pool before using the stairs, and then it stepped into the water and started paddling.
“This is insane. There is a raccoon swimming in our pool,” Novak said.
Creager shared a photo of the raccoon drying off on the pool deck later the same day, joking that all he needed were “some sunnies and a cocktail.”
She said the raccoon had gone for two more swims and “some leisurely laps.”
