A man at Blackhorse Road Station, Walthamstow, blocked the path of a bus
and demanded the driver open its doors to those waiting as the worst rail strike in 30 years made life difficult for commuters throughout the UK

A source said that the man had seen a number of buses
pass without stopping. He then saw another about to drive past and stopped it in the middle of the road.

The strike has affected the national rail network, as well as London’s Tube,
Overground and other services
