Rapid response 'jet suit paramedic' trialled in Lake District

Air ambulance crews in the Lake District could soon be joined by jet-powered paramedics, after trials showed they can locate and assist injured hikers in a fraction of the time of land-bound rescuers. Test flight footage shows inventor Richard Browning shooting across the Langdale Pikes in search of a party of walkers simulating a casualty scenario. Within minutes, he locates a woman and child in a search that would have taken rescuers over an hour on foot
