Rio Ferdinand speaks out on online abuse at select committee hearing

A Football Association executive has accused social media companies of treating hate as a "golden goose" as former England and Manchester United player Rio Ferdinand revealed how family members would "disintegrate" over the online abuse he has suffered.

Ferdinand also spoke about having to explain the racist connotations of emojis posted on his social media accounts to his children.
