Scientists in #Singapore are working on a technology they say may one day be used to build advanced "plant-based #robots". By linking up #plants with electrodes, they have succeeded in monitoring and manipulating the weak electrical signals emitted by the greenery and have even used it to trigger a Venus flytrap to snap its jaws shut at the push of a button on a smartphone app.
