Scientists say volcano eruption is unpredictable

(2 Dec 2022) Scientists say it's not possible to forecast how long the eruption at Hawaii's Mauna Loa volcano will last. David Phillips of the Hawaii Volcano Observatory notes that the previous eruption in 1984 lasted a little over three weeks. (Dec. 2)
