Around 50 Greenpeace protesters staged a sit-in protest against rising energy bills in Parliament’s Central Lobby on Monday.

Activists holding mocked-up energy bills and a banner reading “chaos costs lives” and delivered speeches outside the House of Commons chamber.

Parliamentary security and police officers arrived at the scene and began assessing how to remove the demonstrators, who are wearing visitors’ security passes.

One security officer even interrupted a Sky News interview with two Conservative MPs in the process.
