Sudan says it is in no position to normalise relations with Israel.
The transitional government has told US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo it does not have the mandate to establish diplomatic ties with Israel.
It is accusing Washington of using Sudan being on its list of "states that sponsor terrorism" as leverage.
Pompeo is on a regional tour of the Middle East encouraging other Arab states to join the UAE in establishing diplomatic ties with its ally, Israel.
