Mike Armstrong reports from Washington, where areas around the White House and Capitol have locked down ahead of the inauguration. Americans have been told to stay home and watch it on television.

Streets in downtown Washington are blocked off by the National Guard or police, and businesses in the area that dealt with months of pain from the COVID-19 pandemic are now boarded up ahead of the inauguration.
