Tier 4 restrictions widened to millions more on Boxing Day

Tier 4 restrictions will be widened to cover millions more people across East and South-East England from Boxing Day.
Sussex, Oxfordshire, Suffolk, Norfolk, and Cambridge, the whole of Essex, Waverley in Surrey, and Hampshire, including Portsmouth and Southampton will all be escalated to Tier four from 0001 on Saturday 26 December.
Bristol, Gloucestershire, Somerset, including the North Somerset council-area, Swindon, the Isle of Wight, the New Forest and Northamptonshire, as well as Cheshire and Warrington will all be escalated to tier three.
