Top doctor asks Albertans to be ‘wise and safe’ for Halloween | FULL

CA, 22 Oct 2021
Alberta's chief medical officer of health Dr. Deena Hinshaw is asking residents to be safe this Halloween as the province continues to deal with the fourth wave of COVID-19.

Hinshaw reminded Albertans to stay home if sick, even with mild symptoms.

Hinshaw also stated this was not the year for large Halloween parties as indoor gatherings have a limit of 20 for eligible Albertans who are fully vaccinated. Current health measures also limit social gatherings at private residences to two households for the same group.

Unvaccinated Albertans are not permitted to have private, indoor gatherings.

Hinshaw is also asking people to be innovative and find safe and creative ways to hand out candy.

Alberta identified 770 new cases of COVID-19 and eight new deaths were reported to the province over the previous 24 hours.
