Following a tough season away from home in Tampa, Florida, the Toronto Raptors have returned home for the 2021-22 NBA season.

Despite a having a roster that many times was depleted due to injuries and COVID-19 last year, a silver lining emerged in the form of lottery pick Scottie Barnes. Barnes leads a new group of Raptors following the departure of franchise point guard Kyle Lowry in a trade to the Miami Heat.

Precious Achiuwa, who was acquired from the Heat in the Lowry deal, brings a bit more of a presence to the Raptors front court that was constantly overmatched following the departures of Serge Ibaka and Marc Gasol from the previous season.

Meanwhile, Fred VanVleet and Pascal Siakam, who will be missing the first part of the season due to shoulder surgery, are now the emerging veterans on this team that looks to take the next step this season.
