Telegraph, 14 Jun 2021
Prime Minister Boris Johnson said Monday that China while was a "new strategic consideration for NATO," he didn't think any of the alliance members wanted to "descend into a new Cold War" with the Asian giant.

He made the remarks as he arrived at a NATO summit in Brussels, also telling reporters that he was "always hopeful" relations would improve with Russia, but developments so far had been "pretty disappointing," in light of the Salisbury poisonings.

Mr Johnson added that US President Joe Biden would be taking "some pretty tough messages to President Putin in the course of the next few days."
