Trump: Did billionaire businessman pay 'no income tax at all'?

Sky, 28 Sep 2020
An investigation by The New York Times has claimed that President Donald Trump paid just $750 in federal income taxes in 2016.

The President has dismissed the scoop calling it 'fake news', but is yet to produce any evidence to refute the claim.

He initially said he would release his tax returns during his first presidential run in 2016, after they were 'worked on.'

From 2016 to 2019 Mr Trump claimed that due to them being audited by the IRS, he could not make them public but would do so in the future.

Mr. Trump was the first major candidate since 1976 to not make any of his full tax returns public.

The issue is likely to surface during the Presidential Debate, with his opponent Joe Biden having published his own tax documents.
