Trump says his new Supreme Court Justice nominee will “most likely” be a woman

CA, 20 Sep 2020
U.S. President Donald Trump told reporters on Saturday that his nominee for the new Supreme Court Justice would “most likely” be a woman.

Departing to North Carolina, Trump made the comments on his nomination for a new Supreme Court Justice following the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on Friday.

Asked whether he should let the winner of the upcoming election choose the next nominee, Trump disagreed and said “we’re here now” and that he has an obligation to the people who voted for him.

During a Friday rally, Trump talked about the possibility of nominating Senator Ted Cruz for the Supreme Court, prior to the learning of Justice Ginsburg’s death on the same evening.
