It was a night filled with insults, interruptions and personal attacks. So many of those U.S. President Trump and his rival Joe Biden, squaring off in a war of words on the debate stage with just over a month left until the presidential election. So was there a winner at the end of it all?

As Jackson Proskow reports, it was a "disastrous" night, and not what a debate should look like. Trump failed to condemn white supremacists, telling one such group known as Proud Boys to “stand back, stand by,” and did not commit to accepting the results of the upcoming election.

There's no guarantee that those two debates will go ahead at this point after the format last night was so chaotic since voters could not get a clear sense of where the candidates stand.

"Last night was an abject failure because they spoke over each other so much that the viewer sitting at home simply could not understand the message, especially not from either man." Proskow said.
