Turkey enters first ‘full’ lockdown

Turkey is entering a 17-day "full lockdown", amid soaring numbers of daily cases and deaths of Covid-19, with the highest infection rate in Europe. People are only allowed outside during daytime to get groceries and other essential goods but tourists can walk around freely and some businesses and industries are exempt from the shutdown.
