Turkey shows off its first “flying car” prototype

Turkey's first flying car briefly hovered in the air, successfully completing its first test flight, Turkish manufacturer Baykar Defense said in a written statement on Tuesday.

Video released on Wednesday showed “Cezeri” flying up to 10 metres before landing on tarmac.

Named after a 12th century Muslim polymath known for the invention of the flushing toilet, Turkish flying car Cezeri, is expected to reach 2,000 meters height with a speed of 100 km/h.

Baykar Defense says it will take up to 15 years to see Turkey's first flying car in the skies.
