CA, 09 Jul 2020
U.S. President Donald Trump and visiting Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador delivered a joint statement on Wednesday.

The statement came after Trump signed a joint declaration on the new U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) with Obrador earlier in the day.

"I'm certain that together we can unlock a future of even greater potential for our children, prosperity for our people, safety for our citizens and pride for our countries," Trump said.

Obrador stated that “This is the beginning of a new stage,” and that “with this new agreement, we are going to strengthen the economy of our region, North America.”

President Trump hosted the Mexican President for the first time at the White House to recognize the new USMCA that took effect earlier this month.
