UK approves Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine for mass inoculation

British Prime minister Boris Johnson announces the UK government has accepted a recommendation by the country's independent medicines regulator to approve Pfizer-BioNTech's Covid-19 vaccine for general use.
