According to this year's UN Trade and Development Report, the global economy is facing a deep recession due to the pandemic. The worldwide economy is expected to contract by more than 4 percent this year. Latin America is likely to be particularly hard hit while East Asia has positive growth with China expected to grow at 1.3 percent.
