The United States has marked the 20th anniversary of 9/11 and the deadly terror attacks that would change the course of history.
At Ground Zero in New York City -- relatives read aloud the names of the almost three thousand people killed. Commemorations also took place at the Pentagon in Virginia and Shanksville, Pennsylvania - the sites of the other crashes. Family members of those who perished paid tribute to the lives cut short by the attacks.
